The former champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) in two weight categories, the Irishman Conor McGregor is suspected of attacking a woman on his yacht, reports Majorca Daily Bulletin.
According to police, the incident occurred in Ibiza in the summer of 2022. McGregor suddenly began to behave aggressively towards the woman who was on his yacht. According to her, the fighter attacked her when she tried to ask for help from a friend who was also on the yacht. After that, the woman was forced to flee from the yacht.
A few days later, the woman contacted the police in Dublin, after which the court in Ibiza resumed the investigation. It is noted that initially the case was initiated on a preliminary basis, since she did not file a police report on the day of the incident.
McGregor’s spokeswoman Karen Kessler said that the fighter “completely denies all the accusations made by the guest of his yacht.”
McGregor is 34 years old. In July 2021, he suffered a broken leg in the third bout against American Dustin Porrier at UFC 264 and has not had a single fight since. He has 22 wins to his credit with six defeats, previously he owned the UFC championship belts in the lightweight and featherweight divisions.
