Ireland midfielder James McClean announced on his social networks that he had been diagnosed with autism.
The footballer’s daughter Willow-Ivy also suffers from autism. According to the player, he decided to undergo an examination after he began to notice his similarity with the child.
McClean has been playing for Wigan since the summer of 2021. He previously played for Stoke City, West Brom and Sunderland. The 33-year-old midfielder has 11 goals in 96 matches for the Irish national team.
